Thirteen international companies showed interest in the tender announced by Bulgargaz EAD for the supply of LNG at the Alexandroupolis terminal in Greece for the months of November and December 2024 and six of them submitting binding offers. The company TotalEnergies Gas and Power Ltd. was ranked first among the participants in this tender as well, as it offered the most competitive terms for supply, taking into account all the criteria set by Bulgargaz EAD.
It should be recalled that at the end of August, Bulgargaz EAD announced three tender procedures for the supply of 5 cargoes (5 000 000 MWh ) of LNG within its booked capacity at the Alexandroupolis terminal. The first tender was for the supply of natural gas in the month of October, the second for the months of November and December and the third tender is for the supply in January and February 2025.
The first tender procedure closed on 11 September 2024 and the agreed quantity of LNG, amounting to 1 000 000 MWh, arrived yesterday from Norway at the Alexandroupolis terminal.
The deadline for interested parties to register in the tender procedure for LNG supply for the months of January-February 2025 is still running and a supplier for these cargoes is expected to be selected in mid-November.
