Re: Natural Gas Release Programme
In accordance with Art. 176а, Paragraph 2 of the Energy Act and item 27 of the Agreement for implementation of Natural Gas Release Programme, entered into between the Operator of Gas Hub Balkan EAD trading platform and the Public Supplier (the “Agreement”), Bulgargaz EAD has published a draft of the Contract for Purchase and Sale of natural gas to be applied for the purposes of natural gas sales on the GRP platform designated for natural gas volumes release.
Pursuant to item 13.2 of the Agreement, Bulgargaz EAD has determined a total quantity for the Natural Gas Release Programme’s auctions in 2020 in the amount of 2 220 GWh.
The initial price of the auctions to be held on 9th December 2019 shall be BGN 45.45 MWh, as the latter includes:
- Approved by EWRC price at the entry of the National Natural Gas Transmission System;
- Relatively–constant costs;
- Variable costs;
- “Public service obligation” component;
- Entry Point of the National Natural Gas Transmission System capacity costs and transmission to VTP.
The initial price of the auctions under the Natural Gas Release Programme is established in accordance with the requirements of Art. 176, paragraph 3, item 2 of the Energy Act and item 6.2. of the Agreement.
The initial price is VAT excluded.
In accordance with item 13 of the Agreement, the supply price is subject to an update at the beginning of each calendar quarter.
