The unloading of the second cargo of liquefied natural gas from the United States for Bulgargaz at the liquefied natural gas terminal near Alexandroupolis, Greece, began.
We remind that in September this year, Bulgargaz EAD conducted four successful tender procedures for the supply of liquefied natural gas in October 2025, December 2025, January 2026, and March 2026 at the LNG terminal near Alexandroupolis, Greece. All vessels of the selected suppliers will be loaded at liquefied natural gas terminals in the United States. Metlen Energy & Metals was selected as the supplier for December 2025.
In the presence of the Executive Director of Bulgargaz EAD, Mr Veselin Sinabov, and representatives of the supplier company, all procedures for connecting the vessel to the terminal had been carried out, after which its unloading started. This process will take two days, and after that the liquefied natural gas will be used to meet the needs of Bulgargaz's customers until mid-January, when the third LNG cargo from the US is expected to arrive.
The vessel was loaded at the Plaquemines LNG Terminal, owned by the American company Venture Global, on 19 November 2025.
